From the perfumer
Storytelling is intricately woven into the organic aromatics passionately produced by means of slow artisan methods in my apothecary.
The allure of pairing perfume with rich recollections of far-flung places that require at least two plane rides to get there, contributes to the charm that brings together stories & perfume under The Merchant & The Treasure Box brand identity.
The names for the respective botanical blends in my collection are derived from past & imaginary travels. Journeying in any direction & the desire to bring forth compelling blends that don't contain synthetic triggers are the inspiration for the mixology I engage in when in a space where creative flow is measured by sublime signature creations.
Crafting formulae that constitute the unique personalities in the collection requires a connection with the dictates of the soul. Those elements are meticulously measured & hand-poured into glass vials that get hidden in the dark until unleashed.
To be able to release pleasant sensory memory through an olfactory offer is ultimately most rewarding.
Sharing what I put out there is part of a labour of love. Witnessing the personal interaction that happens around the blends in varying scent categories is a privilege.
